Championing Justice for Women and Children Since 1990
The National Legal Aid Clinic for Women (NLACW) was established in 1990 as a project of the Law Association of Zambia. For over three decades, we have been at the forefront of providing affordable legal aid services to women and children from marginalized sectors of society.
Our organization was born out of the recognition that many women and children in Zambia face significant barriers in accessing justice due to economic constraints, lack of legal knowledge, and systemic challenges.
We believe that everyone deserves equal access to justice, regardless of their economic status. Our team of dedicated lawyers, paralegals, and support staff work tirelessly to bridge this gap.

We are committed to ensuring that every woman and child in Zambia has access to justice. Our work extends beyond the courtroom as we engage in community outreach, legal education, and policy advocacy.
Through our rural outreach programs, we bring legal services to remote communities where women would otherwise have no access to legal assistance. Our training programs empower women with knowledge of their rights.
The guiding principles that drive our work and commitment to justice.
